Biography
Mr Thiru received his formal tertiary education in University of Arkansas, J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, Fayetteville Arkansas USA where he earned his Master of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology. He has an ongoing teaching experience specifically for Science and Biology in multiple educational institutions. Given his overqualified credentials, Mr Thiru has chosen to not restrict his teaching interests to only the tertiary level of education. Prior to his appointment in the secondary education, Mr Thiru has tutored and mentored college and graduate school-bound individuals.
Mr Thiru believes that quality teachers are committed. As a tutor, he has dedicated inconceivable amount of time in the preparation of his lesson plans. He takes into consideration both the clarity the way his delivery his materials and the personal comprehension by the students. Mr. Thiru also practises flexibility in his teaching by being responsive to every student that may require additional attention in his class. This is because Mr. Thiru personally feels that intellectual development is strongly affected by emotional development.

Teach students (both A & AS Level) according to Cambridge International standards. Responsible for generating lesson plans, exam administration and grading.
2. Tutor, F3, F4 & F5 Biology and Science, Pusat Tuisyen Cemerlang, Sri Hartamas
Dec 2012 – Present (Part time)
Tutor students for Biology & Science (F3 onwards) in a tuition centre environment.
Use of power point presentation slides, traditional whiteboard explanations and printed notes.
Every lesson will be capped with question-and-answer sessions to ensure student understanding.

Tutor college and graduate school-bound individuals.
